About The Position

This position serves as a Research Development Partnerships Senior Analyst within the Program Management Division at the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME). Operating as an Individual Contributor within the Research Administration function and the Research Development Partnerships sub-function, this role represents the organization in engaging with funding agencies and developing vital financial resources and programs. The Research Development Partnerships Senior Analyst supports the research community in the early-stage identification, analysis, planning, and development of strategic, multidisciplinary funding opportunities, executing strategic work that establishes a distinct competitive advantage during the grant application process. The baseline expectation for this role is to serve as a leader and experienced resource in developing, implementing, and communicating research proposals, reports, articles, and agendas in conjunction with faculty and staff, while successfully managing communications with external research partners and collaborators. Additionally, this position closely collaborates with the CDME leadership team to cultivate, support, and execute funded customer business development opportunities. This includes developing and implementing strategic sales and retention programs designed to attract new business clients, conducting continuous market research on competitors, and advising the leadership team on emerging development opportunities. Operationally, the Research Development Partnerships Senior Analyst applies deep industry knowledge to ensure strict compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, institutional policies, and sponsor guidelines related to research. The role requires the independent formulation of project execution methodologies, developing comprehensive task lists, master timelines, project schedules, and detailed budgets. The individual ensures disciplined project management processes are followed across all portfolios; coordinates and reviews internal development resources and support staff activities, and travels directly to customer facilities for project meetings and technology implementation programs. Furthermore, the role provides professional guidance and mentorship to students, faculty, technical staff, university leadership, and marketing staff, supporting professional development initiatives and student program activities within CDME. Finally, the position is responsible for assisting with generating the necessary funding pipelines to support the longevity of the position and any direct reports, performing special projects, and executing other duties as assigned. This position will require access to export-controlled data and work in an export-controlled facility. Eligibility for this position is restricted to “U.S. persons” as defined in U.S. export control regulations. “U.S. persons” include: (1) U.S. citizens or nationals; (2) permanent residents; (3) asylees or refugees; or (4) individuals otherwise described as “protected individuals” pursuant to Title 8 U.S. Code Section 1324b(a)(3)(b).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or other related discipline
  • 4 years of experience in project/program administration and planning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eligibility restricted to "U.S. persons" as defined in U.S. export control regulations.

Benefits

  • The target hiring range for this job profile is $81,800 - $106,900.
