A part-time data science position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nicole Ferrara in the Center for Neurobiology of Stress Resilience and Psychiatric Disorders, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. The focus of the lab is social fear memory with particular emphasis on interactions between the environment, fear, and social behaviors and how they impact neural circuits during development. This position is expected to last 3 months to a year, depending on the candidate’s availability and the needs of the lab. We anticipate this position to work 20 to 30hrs per week. The Ferrara lab records neural activity in vivo via fiber photometry and syncs brain recordings to behavior. We are looking for candidates who can establish a strong fiber photometry-behavior analysis pipeline and train lab members to implement.
