NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking 4-5 hourly research data associates for an epidemiology study examining self-reported drug use among nightclub and dance festival attendees. The study is funded by the National Institute of Drug Abuse. The ideal candidates are committed, highly motivated individuals who can work effectively, independently, and in small teams. The research data associates will survey individuals about to enter nightclubs and electronic dance music (EDM) dance festivals typically late at night. They will also try to obtain voluntary saliva samples from a subset of participants who take the survey. Familiarity with EDM and experience in the scene is a plus. Outgoing individuals who are comfortable approaching and speaking to people they have never met are strongly preferred. Research data associates will work in small groups to ensure safety.
