Research Data Analyst

UCSFSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

Works on research data reporting assignments that are of moderate diversity in scope. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Department Overview Within the ALBA Language Neurobiology Laboratory at the UCSF Fein Memory and Aging Center, directed by Dr. Maria Luisa Gorno Tempini, and the UCSF Dyslexia Center, co-directed by Dr. Gorno Tempini, we investigate the neural basis of language in healthy individuals, individuals with neurodegenerative diseases, including Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), and individuals with learning differences such as dyslexia. We employ a multidisciplinary approach to study language across cognitive, neuroanatomical, and molecular levels, integrating multimodal neuroimaging to characterize the neural architecture of language in PPA and dyslexia and its relationship to behavioral and cognitive outcomes. The mission of the UCSF Dyslexia Center is to eliminate the debilitating effects of developmental dyslexia while preserving and enhancing each individual’s strengths. We aim to develop best-practice protocols to implement tailored interventions in classrooms nationwide. In collaboration with schools and educators, we translate research findings into early interventions and evidence-based educational strategies that help children with dyslexia thrive.
