About The Position

The University of Arkansas is seeking a Research Coordinator to manage and oversee operations for the Research on Addiction Mechanisms (RoAM) Lab. This role will support an upcoming clinical trial focused on using a digital health intervention for cigarette smoking among people with depression. The coordinator will supervise undergraduate research assistants, manage lab procedures, and contribute to various aspects of research study execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with clinical populations
  • Experience working with SPSS, Biopac, and/or REDCap

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with participants and running participant sessions following standardized research protocols including screening potential participants, obtaining informed consent, and collecting data via psychophysiology measures, smartphone and computerized questionnaires, and computer tasks
  • Developing and tracking study recruitment, screenings, and participant progression/compliance through the study
  • Scheduling and coordinating study visits, lab meetings, and events with the study team
  • Developing study protocols and data collection instruments
  • Assisting with launch of the clinical trial, including pilot testing of study protocols
  • Developing and maintaining institutional review board documents
  • Reporting adverse events
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping and quality assurance of data
  • Basic data cleaning and analysis, with further opportunities for independent projects if desired
  • Supervising ~4 undergraduate research assistants on lab procedures
