The Research Participant Engagement Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for individuals and families participating in a long‑term, lifetime longitudinal study. This role manages all incoming participant inquiries, provides clear explanations of study procedures, and distributes study materials including informational packets, consent forms, surveys, and sample collection kits. The coordinator supports participants throughout the study by arranging logistics such as clinic visit scheduling, travel accommodations, and ongoing communication with both families and clinical teams. A key responsibility is maintaining strong, trust‑based relationships with participants and their healthcare providers over many years. The coordinator triages questions from families, directing them to the appropriate study team member, and ensures timely, accurate follow‑up. The role also supports regulatory compliance by assisting with IRB submissions, amendments, and required reporting.
