About The Position

The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology (CHP) at the University of Florida is seeking applicants for a Research Coordinator I position. This position will assist with ongoing grants by conducting required study activities. Duties include but are not limited to coordinating day-to-day activities and ensuring the compliance of specific research studies. The employee will have office space in UF’s Communicore building within the Center for Cognitive Aging & Memory (CAM). In-person participant interactions will occur in the nearby McKnight Brain Institute CAM space and the MRI facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) Scale Certification.
  • Certified in the administration of Transcranial Pulse Stimulation.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct follow-ups and thorough neuropsychological evaluations with study participants.
  • Apply professional judgement when recruiting, and scheduling participants to ensure they meet the diagnostic and study protocol criteria specified in the grant.
  • Leverage strong relationship-building skills and proactive outreach to retain study participants through ongoing contact and follow-ups (e.g., phone calls, mailings, etc.).
  • Following neuropsychological evaluations and study visits, complete numerous research and administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy and autonomy. These tasks include careful data entry of completed protocols to ensure compliance with multi-site grant procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g. IRB documentation).
  • Maintain meticulous tracking logs to support participant retention and scheduling.
  • After completing initial training and demonstrating independent proficiency in research visits, assist with onboarding new employees during their first 1-2 months, by observing, instructing, and overseeing their administration of standardized neuropsychological exams.
  • Manage and monitor research supplies and equipment to ensure availability and functionality for study activities.
  • Complete study schedules and activities according to protocols.
  • Serve as a back-up schedule coordinator.
