We are hiring a Research Coordinator I (Full-time) to join the UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School Department of Internal Medicine, Critical Care in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will coordinate the day-to-day operations of multiple inpatient and outpatient clinical research studies, including participant screening, recruitment, informed consent, study visits, regulatory documentation, data collection, and sponsor communications. This position works closely with physicians, research staff, and study sponsors to ensure studies are conducted in compliance with GCP, FDA regulations, and institutional policies. Bilingual in Spanish, strongly preferred, along with knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, FDA regulations, and IRB processes also preferred. What we do here changes the world. Position Summary: Assists with human subject research project conduct and management, including participant recruitment and data collection, entry, management, and analysis. Assists with research project logistics, maintaining records, preparing reports, and meeting research milestones and deadlines. The Research Coordinator I, will support the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at UTHealth Houston. Our research portfolio includes industry-sponsored, investigator-initiated, observational, registry, and device clinical trials focused on pulmonary diseases, critical care, sleep medicine, pulmonary hypertension, COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and other respiratory conditions. The coordinator will collaborate with multiple principal investigators, physicians, research coordinators, nurses, regulatory staff, and sponsors to conduct high-quality clinical research while ensuring participant safety and regulatory compliance.
