About The Position

OptumServe Consulting (OSC)/The Lewin Group (Lewin), a premier national healthcare and human services consulting and policy analysis firm, brings more than 50 years of experience finding answers and solving problems for leading organizations in the public, non-profit, and health sectors. OSC/Lewin's strategic and analytical services aim to help clients improve policy, enact and evaluate programs, deal with shifts in healthcare practice, technology, and regulation, optimize performance, quality, coverage, and health outcomes, and create strategies for institutions to make healthcare and human services systems more effective. As a Research Consultant, you will perform a variety of research and analysis tasks to support consulting projects for federal and state governments, health plans, associations and foundations, hospitals, and health systems. OSC/Lewin is looking for a detail-oriented individual to work with its project teams supporting the identification of fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) in government health programs. Lewin assists state and federal administrations such as the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services in evaluating and optimizing healthcare program operations through a combination of analytic and policy-driven research, modeling, and reporting. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Requirements

Academic and/or work experience
Performing qualitative or quantitative analysis
Overseeing day-to-day management of project tasks
Maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Working effectively as a member of a project team
Preparing presentations and reports for clients
Solid oral and written communication skills
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Proven solid interest in healthcare or public policy

Nice To Haves

Experience with data analysis tools (such as SQL, STATA, SPSS, Excel, etc.)
Healthcare or human services research experience
Familiarity with medical claims data and/or medical auditing data
