About The Position
We are currently seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to work in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Virginia with Professor Eric Loth. We are seeking a qualified candidate with expertise in the research and development of floating wind turbine platforms, with computational and experimental experience.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related field by the start date
- Experience with floating wind turbine design in terms of energy capture efficiency, operational regimes, annual energy production, Design Load Cases and atmospheric conditions
- Experience with experimental and computational tools for floating wind turbine platforms
- Publications in these fields
