About The Position

The Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and Agriscience Education at North Carolina A&T State University is seeking candidates for a 12-month, non-teaching faculty position of Research Associate with a track record of work in agribusiness finance, farm risk management, and agricultural commodity marketing. Prospective candidates are expected to provide the ability to use statistical analysis software and to provide analytic expertise to expand the Department’s research portfolio.

Requirements

• Master’s in relevant Agricultural Economics, Applied Economics, Agribusiness, or Related Social Science
• Curriculum vitae should reflect evidence of qualitative and/or quantitative methods; knowledge of institutional review board certification; data collection methods in agricultural and applied economics; skills in developing and delivering instructional material.
• Evidence of skills in the application of statistical analysis software.

Nice To Haves

• PhD. in Agricultural Economics, Applied Economics, Rural Sociology or Related Social Science and at least three years of experience working with and applying advanced computational, simulation, and experimental techniques in a social science context.
• A level of proficiency in statistical analysis software (i.e. SAS , SPSS , R, Phython, and/or other statistical/programming applications).
