About The Position

Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a Research Associate to support an ongoing human neurostimulation study. This role involves assisting with participant recruitment, study coordination, data collection, and experiment execution. The position requires direct interaction with research participants during neurostimulation experiments, maintaining study documentation, and aiding with data management and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of Data collection and analysis experience
  • 1-3 years of Research, Lab and Methodology Experience
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
  • Successful background check

Responsibilities

  • Identifies problems and obstacles to progress; develops strategies to solve problems.
  • May program software in support of job functions.
  • Attends project meetings.
  • Performs research experiments following experimental protocol and procedures.
  • Research and documents information by compiling and maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Summarizes statistical information for analysis, examination or presentation; writes technical reports.
  • May build and validate quantitative models.
  • Uses a variety of software packages to input, manipulate, collect and record results or observations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
