Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of relevant industry or academic experience in formulation, nanotechnology, drug delivery, or biomanufacturing
Demonstrated experience designing and executing experiments with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of lipid nanoparticle formulation principles and characterization techniques
Experience with data analysis, statistical interpretation, and visualization tools (e.g. JMP, Prism)
Familiarity with GMP or regulated manufacturing environments and documentation practices
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and adapt experimental approaches
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
Effective communication skills, with experience presenting data and collaborating across teams

Responsibilities

Design and execute formulation and characterization experiments to advance lipid nanoparticle (LNP) development programs
Independently analyze and interpret experimental data, troubleshoot technical challenges, and propose next steps to meet project objectives
Lead assay development, optimization, and qualification to support formulation screening and process development
Develop and optimize product manufacturing process, and contribute to technology transfer and process scale-up activities
Support and, where appropriate, lead manufacturing runs by coordinating materials, overseeing execution, and ensuring accurate documentation in accordance with established procedures
Author and review technical reports, summaries, and data presentations for internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate and comprehensive experimental records in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) up to date, ensuring data integrity and traceability
Support procurement of materials and consumables and ensure the inventory is updated.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to support program milestones, including product manufacturing and process monitoring
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements to experimental workflows, documentation practices, and lab operations
Train and mentor Research Technicians and Research Interns, providing guidance on experimental design, data analysis, and laboratory best practices
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, SOPs, and applicable regulatory and quality guidelines
