Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant industry or academic experience in formulation, nanotechnology, drug delivery, or biomanufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing experiments with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of lipid nanoparticle formulation principles and characterization techniques
  • Experience with data analysis, statistical interpretation, and visualization tools (e.g. JMP, Prism)
  • Familiarity with GMP or regulated manufacturing environments and documentation practices
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and adapt experimental approaches
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
  • Effective communication skills, with experience presenting data and collaborating across teams

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute formulation and characterization experiments to advance lipid nanoparticle (LNP) development programs
  • Independently analyze and interpret experimental data, troubleshoot technical challenges, and propose next steps to meet project objectives
  • Lead assay development, optimization, and qualification to support formulation screening and process development
  • Develop and optimize product manufacturing process, and contribute to technology transfer and process scale-up activities
  • Support and, where appropriate, lead manufacturing runs by coordinating materials, overseeing execution, and ensuring accurate documentation in accordance with established procedures
  • Author and review technical reports, summaries, and data presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive experimental records in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) up to date, ensuring data integrity and traceability
  • Support procurement of materials and consumables and ensure the inventory is updated.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to support program milestones, including product manufacturing and process monitoring
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements to experimental workflows, documentation practices, and lab operations
  • Train and mentor Research Technicians and Research Interns, providing guidance on experimental design, data analysis, and laboratory best practices
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, SOPs, and applicable regulatory and quality guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
