About The Position
Research Associate will work on plasmid-mediated horizontal gene transfer (HGT) in bacteria. The candidate will contribute to experimental design, laboratory execution, and data analysis. This contract is part-time and for six months.
Requirements
- PhD Required
- Hands-on experience with bacterial culture
- Hands-on experience with plasmid work
- Hands-on experience with standard molecular techniques
- Familiarity with antimicrobial resistance
- Familiarity with mobile genetic elements
- Familiarity with microbial ecology
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Willing to work in the province of Quebec
- English communication both verbally and in writing
