About The Position

MD Analytics is looking for a motivated Research Associate to join their team immediately. This is an entry-level role on an established team that is looking for someone who is interested in learning, contributing to the overall success of the team and company, and building a career in market research. The Research Associate will be responsible for providing proactive day-to-day management of multiple ongoing marketing research projects while gaining experience and developing their career in market research. The ideal candidate will regularly communicate openly, be comfortable asking questions, and can take initiative by proactively contributing to ongoing project management. The role is based in the Greater Toronto Area and is a fully remote position. The Research Associate will report to the Account Director and will be responsible for projects throughout the project lifecycle – from fieldwork to final reporting – while ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. Key areas of focus include quality control for scripting, managing fieldwork, note-taking, creating data table/analysis plans, overseeing the set-up of data tables and coding, doing basic statistical analyses (where applicable), and report development. MD Analytics is a leader in remote work and transitioned all employees to fully remote positions in 2017. Candidates for this position must be comfortable working from home full-time while adequately managing potential distractions and be willing to engage in an established remote work company culture.

Requirements

  • University degree required
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Proven skills in critical thinking, attention to detail, and meeting or exceeding deadlines
  • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage time
  • Knowledge of research and statistical methods
  • Comfortable working from home full-time
  • Willing to engage in an established remote work company culture

Nice To Haves

  • Focus in marketing, health sciences, statistics, or other relevant discipline preferred
  • Familiarity in SPSS or other equivalent statistical software packages an asset
  • Experience working with quantitative and/or qualitative consumer/customer research methodologies considered a significant asset
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare-related marketing research considered an asset
