About The Position

The selected applicant will serve as the lead MSU field researcher and liaison to Audubon Delta, focusing on the final milestones of a 5-year project. Key responsibilities include analyzing various datasets such as band and movement data, accelerometers, and assisting with any remaining trapping and tracking of Least Terns and Black Skimmers along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This role is part of a dynamic research environment within Mississippi State University's Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture, known for its high research activity and significant extramural funding.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in wildlife ecology, natural resources, or closely related field.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
