Research Associate - Translational Toxicology (Cellular Assays)

EurofinsBoston, MA
$31 - $34Onsite

About The Position

Eurofins PSS is seeking a Research Associate, Translational Toxicology (Cellular Assays) to support in vitro safety and de‑risking strategies for novel therapeutic candidates. This role is highly hands‑on and centers on the design, execution, and interpretation of cellular assays, with a strong emphasis on flow cytometry–based immunophenotyping and multiplexed ELISA platforms. The Research Associate will be embedded on a client site and work cross‑functionally with toxicology, DMPK, chemistry, and discovery biology teams to support translational safety decision‑making throughout the drug discovery and early development process.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in cell and molecular biology
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience planning, executing, and interpreting in vitro cellular assays
  • Proficiency with mammalian cell culture and sterile technique
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Flow Cytometry for cellular immunophenotyping and safety assessment
  • Immunoassays, including multiplexed or quantitative ELISA platforms (MSD, Luminex preferred)
  • Experience with high‑throughput cell culture formats and liquid handling systems
  • Basic data processing and statistical analysis skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and interpret in vitro translational toxicology experiments, including: Flow cytometry–based cellular immunophenotyping, Multiplexed and quantitative ELISA assays (e.g., MSD, Luminex)
  • Culture and maintain complex cellular models to support safety screening and proof‑of‑mechanism studies
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of cellular and immunoassay‑based safety assays
  • Collaborate closely with discovery toxicologists, medicinal chemists, and research scientists to help prioritize and de‑risk drug candidates
  • Perform routine data analysis, troubleshooting, and interpretation of experimental results
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, including electronic databases and laboratory notebooks
  • Stay current on relevant scientific literature and emerging assay technologies
  • Present experimental findings at internal group and departmental meetings

Benefits

  • comprehensive medical coverage, dental, and vision options
  • Life and disability insurance
