About The Position

Addition Therapeutics is seeking a researcher with experience in T cell engineering and gene editing, either in industry or an academic setting. This individual would have experience in both primary lymphocyte/PBMC culture and assays required to characterize edited T cells.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Immunology, or related fields with 3+ years experience engineering T cells in industry or academia.
• Experience in primary human T cell and PBMC culture and engineering.
• T cell functional assays (e.g. cytotoxicity, exhaustion, activation)
• Experience in multi-color flow cytometry, DNA and RNA readout methods (ddPCR, RT-PCR, etc), and culture of cell lines.
• Hands-on experience with in vivo models of CAR T cell efficacy and safety studies
• Organized, motivated, and disciplined when it comes to hands-on work in the lab
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Thrives in a fast-moving, results-oriented startup environment
• Flexible, cooperative, can-do attitude

Nice To Haves

• Experience in non-viral gene delivery
• RNA delivery and expression of transgenes
• Experience in RNA synthesis and purification by in vitro transcription

• Execution of experiments involving lymphocyte engineering, gene editing, immunology, synthetic biology, molecular biology, and cell biology.
• Collaborating on team projects.
• Communicating, documenting, and presenting work.
