The Research Associate will be responsible for conducting pre-award consultations on qualitative research design with investigators and providing grant writing support. They will also lead qualitative data collection activities such as interviews and focus groups and conduct qualitative analysis. In addition, the Research Associate will deliver training and mentorship to investigators, research staff, and trainees in qualitative methods. The Associate is part of the Qualitative and Patient-Reported Outcomes Shared Resource team. This is a non-faculty full-time employee whose appointment is contingent upon extramural funding. With investigators, the Research Associate directs and coordinates various aspects of the study/project directed toward planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination. Requires the use of judgment and discretion in performing the assigned duties and responsibilities related to the project. These actions establish precedents and direction for the project.
