Under minimal supervision, this role is responsible for performing technical or narrative research by designing, modifying, and collaborating with the primary investigator regarding the protocol and methodology of research topics. This position may lead or mentor lower-level team members. The individual will meaningfully contribute to research projects concerning the biological processes of recovery after brain damage, utilizing a combination of in vitro and in vivo techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in in vitro laboratory work, including cell culture, PCR, western blotting, DNA/RNA purification, plasmid purification, and basic fluorescence microscopy. Experience in neuroscience and handling mice is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn are essential.
