About The Position

This is an 8-month contract position for a Research Associate/Scientist I located in Waltham, MA. The role requires the candidate to be able to clearly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) on a daily basis to carry out the listed work. The ideal candidate must showcase Good Lab Practices and follow HSE rules on a daily basis. The position involves performing experiments and interpreting data independently, with strong communication skills and the ability to be a fast learner. The role also requires providing oral presentations in group meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Ability to clearly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) on a daily basis.
• Must showcase Good Lab Practices and follow HSE rules on a daily basis.
• Must be able to carry out experiments and interpret data independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be a fast learner.

Nice To Haves

• Fluent with molecular biology and microbiology techniques such as PCR, restriction digestion, cloning, Gibson Assembly, agarose gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation.
• Familiar with Benchling electronic notebook is preferred.
