About The Position

Cartography Biosciences is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our Pharmacology team and support the development and characterization of novel immunotherapeutic candidates. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career scientist to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment working at the intersection of immunology, oncology, and drug discovery. The successful candidate will contribute to the execution of in vitro pharmacology studies supporting discovery and preclinical development programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, highly collaborative, and enthusiastic about applying laboratory skills to advance innovative therapeutics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Immunology, Biology, Pharmacology, Cancer Biology, or a related scientific field
  • 0–2 years of relevant research experience in academia or industry
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with mammalian cell culture and basic molecular or cellular biology techniques is a plus
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry and immunological assays is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze and interpret experimental data with guidance from senior scientists
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated team player with a willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to manage multiple experiments and priorities in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

  • Execute in vitro pharmacology experiments to support characterization of therapeutic candidates, including cell-based functional assays, T cell activation assays, and cytotoxicity studies
  • Perform routine cell culture and maintenance of primary immune cells and cancer cell lines
  • Generate, analyze, and document experimental data using standard laboratory software and data analysis tools
  • Support assay development, optimization, and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior team members
  • Assist with flow cytometry experiments, cytokine analysis, Immune cell phenotyping and other immunological readouts
  • Maintain accurate and organized experimental records in electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including antibody engineering, computational biology, and translational sciences
  • Contribute to general laboratory operations, including reagent preparation, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
  • Present experimental results and updates during team meetings
