Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or designee, the Research Associate IV designs and performs a variety of complex research experiments with a high degree of independence. This position will contribute significantly to the management of the research program and will be involved in multiple aspects of the research projects and lab maintenance activities. The focus of the Wolfe Laboratory is the development of genome editing tools, such as base editors and prime editors, to employ as new classes of therapeutics. The successful candidate would be a part of an interdisciplinary team of laboratory scientists, clinicians, and computational biologists that are working on therapeutics for a variety of neurological and neuromuscular disorders, as well as cancer. We are looking for a candidate that would be a key player in developing and characterizing novel genome editing systems that could serve as new therapeutics – with these reagents potentially being used in clinical trials.
