About The Position

The Research Associate II will conduct research by assisting with the collection, entry, and cleaning of data and descriptive results. The position is with the Institute for Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social science or a related field.
• A minimum of one year of related research experience.
• Knowledge of research concepts, practices, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework in public health, nutrition, or social sciences, or relevant experience in public health/community-related research.
• Lived experience that matches participant communities.
• Experience with REDCap data collection.
• One year of experience in human subject research or clinical experience.
• Background and/or interest in child health, oral health, or nutrition.
• Experience related to social services or patient navigation.

Responsibilities

• Implement data collection efforts by collecting and documenting survey and specimen data.
• Recruit and enroll participants.
• Perform data quality checks.
• Complete support tasks that advance research program activities.
• Attend in-person monthly meetings with the internal PROTECT team and regular meetings with the project manager/principal investigator.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
