About The Position

The Research Associates II-Social Sciences (RAs) will conduct research by assisting with the collection, entry and cleaning of data and descriptive results. The RAs will contribute to a federally funded (National Institute of Health) research study, in collaboration with multiple partners across the nation focusing on youth mental health and well-being.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required.
  • A minimum of one year related research experience.
  • Knowledge of research concepts, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surveys, interviews, observations or uses other methods according to established research protocols.
  • Collect, process and analyze data.
  • Summarize research and test results.
  • May assist with study protocol development.
  • Coordinate the ordering, inventory and maintenance of equipment, instruments and data collection and analysis tools.
  • Prepare and contributes statistical data and pertinent information for papers, grants and other documents.
  • Complete required documentation for regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare for and facilitate afterschool program sessions (~14 total), tracking attendance and youth engagement with program while supporting data collection.
  • Attend a 1-hour weekly supervisory meeting (virtually).
  • Complete proper documentation after each program session about the program, and a brief qualitative interview after groups end with the research team to provide insight on the program.
  • Complete virtual training sessions (LEAP ~20 hrs; EnvisionIT ~15 hrs).
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
