About The Position

Brandeis University seeks to hire a Research Associate I who will contribute substantively to several major community-based projects at the Institute of Behavioral Health (IBH). This person will work closely with the principal investigator (Traci Green). The Research Associate I will add to the research team's capacity to create reproducible research results through project and budget oversight, meticulous documentation of data files, data processes, and interrelationships of multiple complex data sources. This person will support a wide range of research efforts that include quantitative and qualitative analysis, primary data collection, community engaged research, engaging appropriate stakeholders and resources; leading strong internal and external team communications; drafting progress reports and other public-facing materials; overseeing IRB communications; and tracking project budgets. This is a full-time grant funded position.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in health/behavioral health interest
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience
  • Experience with NVivo (or equivalent qualitative analysis software), R or SAS required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare or assist with presentations for conferences, local government, and community partner meetings; prepare or assist with preparation of manuscripts and other project materials.
  • Oversee and coordinate project activities, review budgets and staffing, communicate with Institutional Review Board (IRB)
  • Responsible for research deliverables including quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Curate datasets and create communication tools for accessing datasets.
  • Participate in study data collection efforts.
  • Leading strong internal and external communication efforts, coordinating completion of research activities.
