About The Position

Kriya is a biopharmaceutical company developing gene therapies for diseases with high unmet need, with a focus on metabolic disorders, neurology, and ophthalmology. The Research Associate I/II, Analytical Development, executes analytical techniques supporting AAV gene therapy methods, process development, and formulation development. The role is based in a laboratory setting and involves independently performing analytical test methods, summarizing results, and documenting work according to company procedures and GDP requirements. The associate also supports laboratory operations and other scientists as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or another science field with relevant course completion; coursework in Analytical Chemistry is preferred.
At least 2 years of industry experience.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Nice To Haves

Capillary electrophoresis experience is strongly preferred.
Coursework in Analytical Chemistry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Independently execute multiple analytical test methods for AAV in-process and drug substance genetic material.
Independently create summaries of results.
Document all activities in accordance with company procedures and GDP requirements.
Manage activities, equipment, inventory, reagents, and projects of the analytical development lab as assigned.
Assist other scientists in preparation of samples and solutions as required.
Perform other duties as necessary.
