This is an Internal Employment Opportunity. The Department of Botany and Plant Pathology invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term Research Associate position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Department Head. This position exists to support research on Agrobacterium vitis. The incumbent will be responsible for using computational and molecular biology methods to study genome sequences and strains to infer the evolutionary basis for plasmid host range in the bacterial pathogen, Agrobacterium vitis and genomic bases of virulence and plasmid content in the Agrobacterium/Rhizobium genus.
