About The Position

This role is for a Research Associate 1 in Waltham, MA, with a duration of 8+ months. Local candidates are preferred. Candidates with strong experience are welcome, including scientists with more than the minimum required years of experience holding a bachelor's or master's degree. PhD candidates should not be submitted. The position requires the ability to clearly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) on a daily basis to carry out tasks such as high-throughput PCR, high-throughput cloning, and high-throughput analytics. The ideal candidate must demonstrate Good Laboratory Practices and follow Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) rules daily. They should be able to independently design, execute, and interpret experiments. Strong communication skills and the ability to be a fast learner are essential.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience, OR Master's degree with 2+ years of experience
Strong verbal communication skills, including presenting results in team/group meetings
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and a fast learner
Must be able to clearly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) on a daily basis
Must be able to carry out experiments and interpret data independently
Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations on a daily basis
Strong foundation in molecular biology and microbiology techniques, including: PCR, Restriction digestion. Cloning, Gibson Assembly, Agarose gel electrophoresis, Bacterial transformation
Familiarity with Benchling electronic lab notebook (preferred)
