The Department of Psychology and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center have a new opportunity for a full-time Research Associate 1, GAB to assist research projects relating to quality of life, health behaviors, and intervention development and testing in the context of cancer and/or aging. This role provides an excellent opportunity for those interested in behavioral health and non-pharmacologic intervention trials in healthcare settings. The Research Associate 1, GAB supports research activities including the planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating of clinical research studies. The incumbent works closely with study team members, clinicians, and other study sites, and operates with the goal of advancing their expertise through continued education, training, and research. This position offers unique opportunities to learn about treatments and strategies for promoting health behaviors, self-efficacy, and quality of life among patients and families in the context of cancer and/or aging. The incumbent will work under the supervision of study investigators. As part of this role, additional opportunities may include assisting with scholarly tasks including the preparation of scientific abstracts, posters, and presentations; conducting literature reviews and synthesizing relevant data; conducting participant interviews; coding qualitative data; and reviewing intervention session recordings.
