About The Position
The Laboratory of Dr. Zhao-Hui (Joe) Song at the School of Medicine, University of Louisville, has an open Temporary Research Assistant position in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. The hired individual will assist in pharmacological experiments focused on understanding the mechanisms of action and potential therapeutic effects of cannabinoids and other drugs. This is a part-time position, scheduled for 30 hours per week.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or neuroscience
- Relevant lab experience
Responsibilities
- Assist in ordering lab supplies and maintaining lab operations.
- Assist in experiments using both cell culture and animal models.
- Assist in collecting data and perform routine data analysis under the supervision of the principal investigator.
- Assist in searching scientific literature.
- Assist in preparing protocols/proposals for experiments.
- Assist in preparing manuscripts for publications.
