The candidate will provide research support for ongoing projects focused on the biological effects of space radiation and the development of countermeasures relevant to astronaut health and deep-space missions. The candidate will participate in active research activity under direct supervision of Dr. Shubhankar Suman. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: Assist with laboratory experiments related to radiation biology, oxidative stress, inflammation, and cellular or tissue responses to ionizing radiation. Support preparation, organization, and maintenance of laboratory materials, reagents, and research records. Perform routine laboratory procedures under supervision, including sample preparation, microscopy assistance, histopathological, and molecular biology assays. Assist in collection, entry, validation, and organization of experimental data using spreadsheets and laboratory databases. Conduct literature searches and assist with scientific reviews, summaries, and reference organization related to space radiation and nutritional or pharmacological countermeasures. Support preparation of figures, presentations, reports, and manuscripts. Maintain compliance with laboratory safety procedures, biosafety standards, and institutional research protocols. Participate in laboratory meetings, training activities, and research discussions.
