About The Position
The Wistar Institute is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to perform a wide variety of laboratory tasks and experiments in Dr. Jessie Villanueva’s laboratory. The Villanueva laboratory studies molecular signaling pathways that become deregulated in melanoma, with the goal of identifying suitable therapeutic targets, particularly for tumors with limited treatment options. The Wistar Institute is located in Philadelphia’s University City area, on the University of Pennsylvania campus. It provides faculty and staff with resources for collaborative research, an intellectually stimulating environment, and state-of-the-art facilities. Requirements
- Master’s degree in a science-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive experience in cancer biology.
- Experience in in vivo pre-clinical studies.
- Expertise with tissue culture and 3D organotypic cancer models.
