The Research Assistant I will be responsible for providing research support to the Principal Investigator (PI) and the Co-Directors of the Infant Neurodevelopment Center. The individual will perform a variety of duties in support of the research goals, objectives and protocols related to the funded study, Posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus of prematurity (PHHP): Elucidating neurocognitive and neurobehavioral phenotypes with robust longitudinal assessment. A considerable degree of responsibility, flexibility, and independence is required to carry out the diverse duties that are assigned. This staff member must have the ability to grasp the rationale for the methods used and must pay careful attention to details of the methods. This staff member will assist with IRB applications, IRB continuing reviews, and IRB changes to research, as well as assisting with preparations of progress reports to the funder. This staff member will assist with database design, data entry and cleaning, as well as data analysis, and preparation of presentations and manuscripts. This staff member will read and understand the scientific literature necessary to complete this study. Reliability and the ability to work well with multiple investigators are essential.
