About The Position
The candidate will work on a project focused on applying advanced data assimilation techniques to improve our understanding and prediction of tropical mesoscale convective systems. In particular, the candidate will investigate the extent to which assimilating satellite all-sky radiance data can improve the representation of environmental conditions, thereby enhancing the predictability of mesoscale convective systems and large-scale variability.
