About The Position
Davidson Laboratory is seeking a research assistant to perform testing in the wave tank on an oscillating surge wave energy converter with the objective of implementing Reinforcement Learning for optimal power capture. This work will support ongoing research focused on improving the performance and efficiency of wave energy conversion systems.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or closely related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and research experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing in the wave tank on an oscillating surge wave energy converter.
- Implement Reinforcement Learning for optimal power capture.
- Support ongoing research focused on improving the performance and efficiency of wave energy conversion systems.
