About The Position
The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics is seeking applicants for the part-time job of Research Assistant. Job duties to include helping with all aspects of work in the lab including: Helping with mentoring of the undergraduates Working on the alignment of the Jet-X optic for OGRE Keeping track of consumables.
Requirements
- Must be a current Penn State student (not employed previously at the university) or an external applicant.
- Ability to assist with all aspects of lab work.
- Skills in mentoring undergraduates.
- Experience with alignment of optics (specifically Jet-X optic for OGRE).
- Organizational skills for tracking consumables.
