About The Position
This position is for a Research Assistant role within the Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa. The research survey examines sexual knowledge, sexual wellbeing, and experiences of discussing these topics with a healthcare provider. The target population includes adults assigned female at birth and/or people that have/had a uterus. The role involves participant recruitment, data compilation, and data cleaning.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled student (BSc/BA/Masters/PhD)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant content experience in participant engagement and recruitment
- Content knowledge relating to sexual health through coursework, research or previous work experience
- Proficient knowledge of Qualtrics, SPSS, Excel
Nice To Haves
- Preference for those applying to both contracts (Summer and Fall).
Responsibilities
- Recruit and engage with participants (in English) for a research survey examining sexual knowledge, sexual wellbeing and experiences of discussing such topics with a health care provider.
- Develop and distribute recruitment material via online ads as well as engaging with community services/organizations.
- Compile data from Qualtrics surveys.
- Assist with data cleaning and organization.
