About The Position

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a temporary part time Research Assistant 1 to work in Miami, FL. The Research Assistant will be providing program support in the form of classroom observations, data collection and entry, and any additional office support. The Research Assistant will be providing support on an on-need basis based of program needs and demands at the moment. Schedule is flexible and based on daily tasks; and work, training and support takes place during regular business hours 9 to 5PM.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required

Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates various scientific apparatus and makes minor repairs.
Prepares correspondence and answers phones.
Formulates and maintains bibliographies and completes applications and forms.
Orders laboratory supplies and maintains culture media reagents.
Reviews and edits various materials for publication and prepares publication schedules.
Maintains appropriate logs, records, and study notebooks.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Support data collection in the field as needed from program participants.
Support all data management efforts (e.g., implementation of data protocol including data checking, entering, filing, and cleaning).
Provide additional program support as needed (e.g., organize and distribute toolkit materials).
Attend all program meetings and trainings as requested.
