About The Position

The PCWP (presumably the Pennsylvania Center for Women and Politics) undertakes the project of identifying all women running for public office during state and federal election years and makes this information available to the public. The summer student research assistant will work with the Executive Director of the PCWP to identify women running for office and compile a list that includes headshots, bios, and contact information for each candidate. Additional administrative duties may also be expected. This position offers flexibility with options for hybrid or virtual work arrangements.

Requirements

  • Must be a current student.
  • Students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year.
  • Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.

Responsibilities

  • Identify women running for public office.
  • Create a list of women candidates including headshots, bios, and contact information.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as needed.
