About The Position

The Research Assistant Professor will conduct independent and collaborative research within TRIAD's focus areas, including cardiovascular disease epidemiology, arrhythmia, and related health disparities. This role involves contributing to the design, execution, and analysis of funded research studies, including those incorporating community-based interventions and digital health technologies. The position also requires pursuing extramural funding opportunities, developing a sustained, externally funded research program, preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication, and presenting findings at scientific meetings. Additionally, the Research Assistant Professor will mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and trainees on TRIAD research projects and collaborate with faculty across TRIAD's partner departments. Participation in departmental and TRIAD meetings, seminars, and scholarly activities is also expected.

Requirements

  • PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated research experience in cardiovascular disease epidemiology, health disparities, and/or community-based interventions.
  • Proficiency in epidemiologic and biostatistical methods.
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications commensurate with rank.
  • Demonstrated ability, or clear potential, to secure extramural research funding.
  • Strong record of, or capacity for, collaborative research across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • MPH also preferred.
  • Experience with implementation science and/or AI applications in health research a plus.

Responsibilities
