The MOTION Science Institute in the Department of Exercise & Sport Science is seeking applications for a Research Assistant Professor to expand our research expertise in neuromechanical factors contributing to knee osteoarthritis development. This is a fixed-term/non-tenure track position for 1 year with the potential for renewal contingent on the availability of funding. The primary roles for the position are 1) coordinating a federally-funded clinical trial evaluating the effects of novel rehabilitation interventions on return-to-physical-activity following ACL injury, 2) developing and executing investigations related to knee osteoarthritis development and progression, 3) contributing to development of new funding proposals to support research on knee osteoarthritis development and progression, 4) scientific writing, and 5) mentoring of research trainees. This individual will also teach one undergraduate course in biomechanics.
