The Lampe Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term faculty position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. The position will have an academic appointment in Biomedical Engineering and will lead and participate in NIH -funded research programs to develop technologies in biomedical ultrasound. These projects involve utilizing microbubbles, nanoparticles, and other related materials in combination with ultrasound to achieve advances in targeted therapy, early disease detection, and physiologic modulation. Experience working with Verasonics and other commercial ultrasound systems is highly valued. Software experience with coding for image and data processing and essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in design, evaluation, and application of acoustically active microbubbles and nanoparticles to solve challenges with disease localization and treatment. This position will serve as a project leader and will require extensive project conceptualization, organization, and execution, as well as data analysis and report, grant, and paper preparation, combined with instruction and trainee mentoring in the lab.
