About The Position

Provide support to the Executive Director, Managers and employees, assisting with daily office needs and managing general administrative activities to ensure efficient and smooth day-to-day operation. Support the laboratory staff in data entry and report generation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required with excellent attention to detail.
  • Competence in the utilization of Teams/ Microsoft office suite of products.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree in applied science.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phones, schedules meetings, maintains calendars, and reserves conference rooms.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Files correspondence and materials of a general nature.
  • Assists in compiling financial, statistical data, and reports as assigned.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate records, reports, and correspondence.
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Responsible for out‐of‐town accommodations for travel and overnight stays.
  • Composes correspondence and disseminates to appropriate individuals.
  • Log in and prepare samples for assays.
  • Compile, edit, and check for accuracy of reports and correspondence.
  • Routine equipment calibration verification.
  • Assist staff in performing assays.
  • Provide customer service support.
  • Assist laboratory staff with maintaining inventory of supplies and a clean laboratory.
  • Perform with significant attention to detail. Maintain documentation of all duties.
  • Coordinate responsibilities with little direct supervision.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external contacts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, managers, or executive director.
  • Demonstrate behaviors and actions that are consistent with Guthrie’s principles and values.
  • Follow hospital and department specific safety policies/procedures and emergency plans.
  • Identify actual or potential safety hazards and utilize appropriate reporting mechanisms.
