The Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is seeking a Research Assistant. The Research Assistant oversees data collection, data organization, and/or data management or similar functions/tasks for research study(ies) in support of a PI or a research team. This role will conduct comprehensive literature searches across relevant databases (e.g., PubMed, Embase, Web of Science) to identify peer-reviewed and grey literature on climate-related health hazards and health outcomes in Afghanistan and comparable settings. It will also support the development of IRB protocols, including drafting protocol narratives, consent materials, and other documentation required for ethics review and approval. The position will support the conduct of systematic reviews, including title/abstract and full-text screening against pre-specified inclusion and exclusion criteria. The role will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of search strategies, screening decisions, and extracted data in accordance with reporting standards (e.g., PRISMA). Finally, it will support manuscript development, including drafting sections of the literature review, methods, and results, and formatting references and tables.
