About The Position

We study tissues and cells from human patients, animal models and tissue culture models to define disease mechanisms as well as mechanisms of normal physiology and development. These cells and tissues are studied by a number of molecular biological techniques involving next generation sequencing, digital PCR, bacterial plasmid manipulation and PCR. The candidate under supervision, will isolate RNA and DNA, clone and propagate plasmids, make next generation sequencing libraries and PCR amplify DNA, fractionate DNA, protein or RNA by gel electrophoresis.
