The position encompasses the following projects: Imaging the occipital nerves to assess occipital neuralgia (NIH-funded): The project will develop novel, high-resolution, three-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to depict and detect abnormalities of the occipital nerves that may be responsible for migraine headaches. The goal is to correlate imaging features with that obtained using artificial intelligence processing of pain drawings (i.e. NerveAI). The foreseeable tasks include: Recruit volunteer and patient subjects for MRI scans: consent subjects, maintain project databases, help oversee scanning, accompany subjects during scanning, communicate with recruitment sites and with patients before and after study visits. Peripheral nerve MRI (MR neurography) -- imaging and post-processing: Work directly with radiologists, biomedical scientists and engineers to maintain and perform processing of advanced MRI pipelines and extract meaningful imaging features to correlation with clinical data. Assist with literature reviews, perform analysis, and assist with scientific writing for manuscript preparation and conference presentation. Assist in collaboration with other regional academic centers by working with other scientists, physicians and research coordinators at such centers to coordinate recruitment and collection of project data. undefined Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal MRI – prospective and retrospective studies Submit, update and amend IRB submissions Keep data records, including maintaining project databases Perform image segmentation (delineation of anatomical structures on medical images)
