Casual Research Assistant I - Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging
About The Position
UTHealth Houston's Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging is hiring a Casual Research Assistant I! The Department of Radiology at UTHealth Houston is seeking a casual Research Assistant to support a faculty-led clinical research program. This position averages approximately 13 hours per week and is funded through a dedicated research endowment. The role offers valuable mentorship and hands-on experience in clinical research, manuscript development, scientific publications, presentations, and other scholarly activities. This is a clinical research position, not a laboratory-based role. It is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing careers in medicine, radiology, research, or academia and seeking to gain experience working closely with a faculty member on ongoing research projects.

- May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.

Responsibilities
- Support research objectives.
- Collects, organizes and prepares research data to provide needed information to principal investigators and other researchers.
- Updates notebooks, records, and databases as needed.
- Maintains work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Orders supplies as directed by senior research staff.
- Stays abreast of new and updated procedures and protocols for the research.
- Maintains compliance with required training.
- May participate in continuing education programs, seminars, and workshops.
- May coordinate the work of technicians to ensure efficient, timely and high-quality results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
