The position encompasses projects focused on imaging the occipital nerves to assess occipital neuralgia (NIH-funded). This project aims to develop novel, high-resolution, three-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to depict and detect abnormalities of the occipital nerves that may be responsible for migraine headaches. The goal is to correlate imaging features with those obtained using artificial intelligence processing of pain drawings (i.e., NerveAI). Additional projects include Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal MRI – prospective and retrospective studies.
