About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to serve as a research assistant on multiple ongoing projects at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. The primary focus will be a clinical trial examining a psychosocial intervention for a specific chronic pain condition. This role involves supporting research projects, collecting and assessing data, and assisting with general laboratory operations. The position requires adherence to good clinical practice and institutional review board procedures, including CITI training.

Requirements

• Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel

• Prior experience with statistical software (STATA, SPSS)

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient recruitment
• Conduct follow-up calls
• Organize data
• Perform database management
• Manage workflow
• Enter data
• Participate in lab meetings on Friday afternoons
• Attend team meetings on Wednesday afternoons to provide updates as needed
• Assist with literature reviews (dependent on experience)
• Prepare conference materials (dependent on experience)
• Review and format scholarly materials (dependent on experience)
• Assist with data analysis (dependent on experience)
